Project Overview

This poster was created as a personal memory piece from Rogoznica Sepurine beach in Croatia, a place I returned to this year and also remember from many summers before. The composition captures the calm of clear blue water, bright sky, warm sand, and a simple beach scene with blankets resting near the shoreline.

Visual Language

Built from only two basic shapes

The illustration is reduced to a very limited formal system based mainly on oval and rectangular shapes. Clouds, island, waves, towels, and small beach details are all constructed through this simple geometry, which gives the poster a quiet, ordered character without losing the relaxed holiday atmosphere.

Place and Memory

Beach well balanced, revisited over time

Rather than describing the beach literally, the poster focuses on the parts that stay in memory: the clean horizon, deep water color, soft sand tone, and the stillness of a familiar coast. Rogoznica Sepurine becomes less a documentary image and more a distilled visual memory built from only a few forms and color fields.

Composition and Mood

Calm rhythm through proportion and spacing

Large horizontal bands divide sky, sea, and sand, while the smaller shapes introduce a gentle rhythm across the surface. The scene stays intentionally open, with plenty of breathing space, so the composition feels as clear and calm as the water it refers to. The result is a poster that sits somewhere between travel memory, graphic reduction, and playful geometric illustration.
